Quotes

I got some interesting quotes to share with you guys,
courtesy of Sally's office cabinet hehehe

They can be applied to our daily lives.
So take a moment and think about it...

Here are some of my favourites:

"A person who is nice to you but rude to the waiter -- or to others -- is not a nice person."
(This rule never fails)

"Look for what is missing.
Many know how to improve what's there;
few can see what isn't there."

"You remember 1/3 of what you read,
1/2 of what people tell you,
100 percent of what you feel."

"Learn to say 'I don't know'.
If used when appropriate, it will be used often."
(Confident people know their strengths and weakness,
and they don't try to b.s. you.
You are not expected to know the answer to everything.
Smart people simply say 'I don't know' -- and go get an answer.)

"You can't polish a sneaker."
(The point is that even if you polish a hollow shell,
it's still nothing more than a hollow shell.
Heany on style but short on substance.
It's a polite way of saying you haven't start out with anything meaningful.)
