Pirates of the Carribean 3

Jason and I finally watched Pirates of the Caribbean 3.

Went to South Bank Cinema this time.

Only $5 per person, plus free parking!!

Cheap! heehee

The sound system isn't as good as Myer's but it's good enough for me.

He's cute eh?

Before the movie starts,

we were enjoying all those pre-movie advertisments.

Then suddenly,

there was this stench...this horrible horrible stench.

Someone removed his/her shoes in the cinema...

-_-"

The smell was so strong that it seems as if that someone place his/her foot right under my nose.

*puke*

We believe it's one of the ladies sitting behind us.

They were in their working clothes and shoes while people beside us were wearing thongs.

We started covering up our noses and making gestures to indicate that it stinks.

wahahahaha

It worked.

She got our 'message' and the smell disappeared soon after so *phew*.

I don't want to be smelling her feet throughout the whole movie.

*yuck*

I got tagged

OMG...
I got tagged by Doreen.
My virgin tag wahahahahahah.
And it was a really hard one -- "what is my favourite food".
There's like a hundred of them LOL.
I've decided to procrastinate this tag till i go back Singapore mid of the year.
I'll go eat and eat and eat and take photos of all the food i ate.
I'll decide on the food i love most then.
(hopefully i can decide by then kekekeke).

insert bite update

Remember the insect bite i blogged on previously?

It's getting better.

It's 'drying' up.

And it's not itchy anymore.

Is it going to leave me scarred for life?

And my skin looked so dry close up.
*scrambles off to moisturise*

embarrassing

I didn't sleep much last night.
1-2 hours at most.
I just can't sleep.
Then i have 9am class the next day.
It was drizzling and big gusts of wind that nearly blow my umbrella away.
I rubbed my eye and out came my contact lense.
Tried to put it back while tightly holding on to my unbrella but failed.
The next thing i know,
the wind blew my contact away.
What a perfect way to start the day.
And that was a new set of contacts!
So i was half blinded without my lense.
Went to class looking pitiful, and tired and...blind.
The lecture started within moments with powerpoint slides on and lights dimmed.
That makes my sight even worse.
I can't really see so i'm just listening to my lecturer.
I think he can see that my eyes are kind of 'dreamy'.
(coz i wasn't really looking at anything but listening since i can't see well).
Then he asked a question and point at my direction for an answer.
I sat there for a good 5secs,
thinking..."hmmm...was he pointing at me?"
And he was.
How embarrassing...

My day started off in black, white and grey.
I needed a quick fix to suppress it.
This works for me.
Just click on it.
'The Worlds' Scariest Landlord'.
I can see colours again.

help?

hey guys,
I need some advice here.
I got bitten by some insect.
It's been there for some days.
Don't remember how long though.

I'm not sure if it's mosquite.

I thought it was.

And i did not scratch it!

I ease the itch by scratching around it.

Initially,

it looked just like a normal mosquito,

a red itchy bump.

Then couple of days ago,

i saw that there's a little fluid right in the middle of the bump.

I did not touch it.

Then i took a shower and accidenly scratch it while scrubbing myself.

It bled a little.

I know...it looks disgusting!!!

It's like a hole in the middle!

*puke*

It doesn't look like a normal mosquito bite to me.

It's still itchy.

What should i do?

Dettol?

Calamine lotion?

chain letters and superstition

I am so sick of chain letters.
They are just R.I.D.I.C.U.L.O.U.S
period.
Not only are people who believe in those chain letters extremely superstitious,
they are naive.
I mean...who the **** created those chain letters?!?!?!
Chain letters have now 'upgraded' themselves, so to speak.
You no longer receive them only in emails.
I see them in Friendster and even receive them in the form of msn messages.
Example of one:

Because u opened this u will get Kissed on friday by the LuV of ur life dont break the chain cuz ur crush will ask u out n 2 morrow wil be the best day of ur life howeva if u dont send this to 10 ppl by 11 tonight: u wil have bad luck for the rest of ur life Just copy n paste

Oh...pluuuease!!!
Tell me seriously.
Do you actually believe in it?

I've read hundreds of chain letters in my life,
and I did NOT forward most of them.
(i did resend my first few chain letters...yeah i'm rather stupid to believe in it then)
And there's no strange evil force from who-knows-where punishing me since I did not obey.
So don't fall for chain letters.

But if you don't cut and paste this blog and put it on your blog or email or msn or whatever,
and forward it to 10000 people,
lighting will strike,
you won't be able to blink for life,
your nose and armpit hair will grow 1000x longer every morning and
your boss will reduce your salary to $4.12 a day.
And if you do,
you will have the best day of your life tomorrow.
:)

Another absurd superstition - car plate numbers.

Here's a true story:
XX was looking for a second-hand car.
Saw one which he really likes.
But there's one problem.
The car plate number has a '4' in it.
What wrong with '4'? some may ask.
Because, when said in mandarin, '4' and 'die' sounds alike.
In the end,
XX bought another car.
Again,
he hates the car plate.
Why?
Because the numbers add up to '13'.
So he bought a new car plate (with a new number of course).
With a '6' in it.
I assume he's happy with it since '6', when said in hokkien sounds like 'luck'.
But not until i saw it LOL.
Before i even see those number,
i told myself that i will go all out to use +, -, x, /, square root, square or what ever mathematical formula available on those numbers and make them '13'.
Or even '4'.
hahahahaha
Yeah i'm mean.
Who cares...
In the end,
it really didn't take much effort to 'convert' his car plate numbers into '13'.
Just simple (A x B - C).
What worse,
jason also came up with another simple calculation to make them '13'.
MUAHAHAHAHAHA
We told XX.
XX --> speechless.
That moment...that look on his face...priceless.

Spideryyyy and a coward

We watched Spiderman 3 last Friday.

It wasn't too bad.

Some lame bits and a few funny parts.

And i did not enjoy myself AT ALL.

Why?

Here's the story:

We went to this cinema in the city (Myer),

rather than our usual place at Southbank because Myer has a much better sound system,

and the chair is 'rockable' (if you know what i mean),

so it's more comfortable.

The only down side of watching a movie at Myer is that we have to pay for the parking,
*bugger*

plus the movie tix is slightly more expensive (just a few cents more).

Ok...back to the story.

The couple beside Jason was making out throughtout the whole show.

But we weren't bother by them hahahaha.

They're doing their 'stuff' quietly.

Soo no complains.

On the other hand,

throughout the WHOLE movie,

the person behind me rested his legs against the back of my chair,

thus pushing my chair forward.

Sometimes he'll put his leg down which caused me to rock back suddenly,

then he'll put up his leg again and rocked me forward.

I was sssoooo pissed.

I purposely leaned back really hard when he had his legs up against my chair to tell him to quit doing the leg thingy.

I did that quite a few times but he still continued to do it.

I didn't want to turn back and tell him off.

There were so many people and I didn't want to disturb them.

So i beared with that bastard for the whole 2 1/2 hours.

The moment the show ended,

I immediately turned around and looked at him.

Wellwellwell...

a bunch of guys from UAE/middle east.
(I was half expecting him to be. I know Aussies aren't that inconsiderate)

I'm not stereotyping but I've met people from there,

plus the stories i hear from others,

I must say...what he did was very...typical.

I think the only thing in that fish brain of his was - he, himself and nobody else.

When i turned and stared at him,

his friends,

even the Aussie sitting beside them were looking at me.

That sleazeball just sat there,

acted blur and innocent and looked at everything else except for me.

Then quickly scrambled off pretending nothing had happened.

We left shortly after him and i caught him taking a quick, nervous glance back once he's out of the cinema.

GGgggrrrrrrr....
Bloody nincompoop.

Labour Day!!!

YAY!!!
It's Labour Day tomorrow = no Uni = wake up late
WOOHOOOOO!!!!!

Went for a car wash today...again.
(yeahh...Jason said it's a 'guy thing' -_-'' )

I got bored.

So I started playing with my cam.

Ahahahaha Jason looks so bloated especially in the second photo.

He's going to kill me for posting it up.

Muahahahahaha

And those dark eye ring of mine...*tsktsk*

Oh...and check out our new car seat cover.

Got it for only $12+ during the auto sale at Kmart.

I also got Jason a matching steering wheel cover for his birthday present in advance.

I'll take a photo of it next time.

Baby Tee review

I always thought that funky and hip baby tops are expensive,
and babies grew out of them so quickly.
Those of reasonable prices and within the budget are way too boring.

Just the other day,
i walked past this shop and saw some baby tops.
White with just a couple of words on them,
they cost a bomb.

Then i came across this site.
http://www.trendytadpole.com/
*hallelujah to online shopping

Their designs are so cute!
I love the last design!!!
I would buy and wear them myself if they offer bigger sizes LOL.
Well well...there we have it.
A great gift for babies (rather than those usual boring tees).
Check them out :)

sunset

Nice sunset yesterday.
The photo does not do justice to the magnificant view.
Many people were out on their balcony enjoying the sunset.

Dark, ominous clouds overcast the sky as the sun sets.
I thought it was going to rain.
I hope it WILL rain.
That seems like a wishful thinking.
Not a drop of rain was anywhere to be seen last night.
And this morning was bright and cloudless.
As winter months near,
the chances of it raining are even slimmer.
If this ongoing drought continues,
prices of food are going to sky-rocket.

*sigh*

Brisbane is immune from rain...literally...

shitty result

Quote of the day:
(by Jason)
"Giving 100% doesn't mean you'll get back 100%..."
He said that because I was whinging about my result.
I did rather badly.
I passed...but was on borderline.
*sobsob*
Hate it when i worked so hard yet scored so low.
