She's gone...

I'm back in Singapore,
since Sunday morning,
to attend my dearest grandma's funeral.

After all the pain and sufferings,
she's gone,
peacefully.

I will miss you so much grandma...

Don't feel like blogging about this.
She will always be missed in our hearts.

Thank you so much Angel and Sally,
for coming to the funeral.
It meant alot to me.

P/S: I'll be going back to aussie land on Saturday, reaching on Sunday.

Jason's Birthday cake

I went out to the city (secretly) to get Jason's belated birthday cake yesterday.
I took a shuttle bus from school which goes to another campus in the city.
That's the only way i know to get to the city.
I've never taken public transport in Brizzie before.
:p
I keep telling myself that i'll have to learnt one day LOL

Anyway,
I went to Michel's Patisserie at Myer.
I wanted to get a cheese cake but they were all huge.
We're definately not able to finish it.
So i saw this 'tiramisu log'.
I was like, "OMG!!! i finally get to eat tiramisu!!!"
The cake design doesn't even look like the usual tiramisu.
It looked ugly actually.

It looked disappointing and taste disappointing...
It doesn't have the essential creamy-melt-in-your-mouth taste.
Although it did taste somewhat like tiramisu,
it's got the rum taste,
but i'll call it a cake that tasted like tiramisu rather than a true tiramisu.
Utterly disappointed...

This is what a real tiramisu should look like...

Photos photos photos!!!

Here are the photos.
Jason and I drove to Gold coast on Friday
(i skipped classes *giggles*)
to join my brother and Joanna.

This is the view from my brother's hotel aka service apartment.

That stupid tree is getting in the way.

Oh, and the swimming pool is..erm...cloudy and slightly yellowish LOL

There...that's better. With the tree out of the way.

Look at the blue blue sea. Beautiful...

Will never get to see such nice blue sea in Singapore.

View from the beach.

We wanted to watch the 'Da Vinci Code' but it was way too expensive there.

So instead we went to the arcade.

Won some tickets and exchanged for some mini Pinic bars, mini poker cards and some other rubbish LOL

Then we went for dinner.

Seafood along the seaside.

It was yummy!!!

And it was the first time in my life that i've tasted a real passionfruit.

(can you see them? they are beside the calamari and fish)

Its sourish but yet so frangrant.

We nearly finished the whole platter.

hehehehe

Me and Jason, happy with the wonderful meal.

Thanks bro and Joanna for the treat!!!

After that we walked over to the night market

Its kind of like 'pasar malam' in singapore,

but much nicer and 'classier'.

Didn't take any photos coz it was so crowded.

But we did take some photos on our way there.

N/B: the following photos are rated 'RA'.

so if you're under 18, kindly close this window and go to sleep.

PRESENTING...

Mr oh-so-small!!!

We were like, "Can't see properly! So small! Zoom in!"

Yeah...we're kind of 'bian tai'

I wondered why don't they make his 'wang' any bigger?

I came to this conclusion that if they carve it bigger,

all other males with smaller 'wangs' will be...erm...sadly insinuated??

Nice butt though...

Mirror image.

Me and my bro are both Leo,

while Jason and Joanna are both Taurus

and they both stayed in clementi!

Well, obviously me and my bro live under the same roof.

Such a coincidence isn't it.

After the night market,

we went back to my bro's apartment to some 'big 2'

Using those mini poker cards that we won from the arcade.

They are really tiny and cute!

Compare it to the normal poker card.

Its basically the size of a mahjong tile.

The next day, my bro and Joanna went for some crab trip.

They caught 3 crabs!

*Drool...*

Can't remember when's the last time i ate crabs.

I love and hate eating crabs.

They are so yummy but so messy...

On Sunday,

we went shopping and casino as i've mentioned before.

and bought some yummy yummy popcorns!!

Chocolate and skinny butterscotch.

They've so many flavours to choose from.

YUM...

lazy to load photos...

Oh boy...
What a busy yet fulfilling week.
My brother and his gf, Joanna is on the plane back to Singapore,
where all the fabulous foods are.

We met up with them this afternoon for lunch at a Vietnamese restaurant in WestEnd,
then to Indooroopilly for a little shopping,
and back to our place to upload the photos.
Joanna lost her camera in Nadi,
*heart pain*
so they borrowed Jason's camera instead.

After that,
we went to the CASINO!!
Everyone won except for me :(
*sobsob*
I lost $5...
But Jason gave me $5 of his winnings so i'm even.
heeheehee

Anyway,
I'll try to upload the photos tomorrow!

Grandma...

My grandma's in hospital again.
I only got to know this today when my brother told me through msn.
I don't even know when was she admitted to the hospital.
Nobody updates me anymore.
*sobsob*

My dad and mum called me almost very week last year.
But this year,
I only received their call twice (i think) since i come back to Aust...
That's like 2 calls in more than 2 months.
SADZ... :,(
I guess i'll have to call home more often then.

I really hope my grandma will be ok.
I feel really bad for not being able to be there.
She was admitted to the hospital late last year.
The doctor told us to be mentally prepared.
Mum was devastated.
But grandma got better and was discharged.

Now,
she's admitted to hospital again.
Her leg is starting to rot due to her diabetes.
Might need to amputate it.
I don't know how is grandma and everyone going to cope with it.
Really hope eveything will be ok.
I really do...
*praying hard*

What's wrong with MSN???

There's something seriously wrong with msn.
Sometimes, I can't see people's msg or vice versa.
It's as if I don't bother to reply,
which in fact, I did but people just can't see my msg!!!

What is wrong with MSN???
I started to realise this only a few days ago.
Am i the only one facing this problem?
Did you guys face the same problem as me???

Help anyone?

hmm...

It's funny how Australians give 'nicknames' to almost everything...

Breakfast - Brekky
Woolworths - Wollies
Macdonalds - Macca
Australia - Aussie
Brisbane - Brizzie
Barbecue - Barbie
Australian football - Footy

And the list goes on...

Singaporean have their own 'nicknames' for things too.
Well, not exactly nicknames,
more of like a language of our own -- Singlish

Breakfast - Bradfirst
Of course - Ah-bo-then
Correct - Corlect
Sorry - Soli
Challenge - Challen
Singapore - Sigarbor

muahahahahah
Singlish is simply priceless...

Dry and wrinkly...

The getting colder...
and dryer.

The winter must haves...

I don't usually use that many moisturising products back in Singapore.
But if i don't use them here,
i'll be all wrinkly and dry like preserved plums in a nick of time...
.................................................................................

We went to get a new modem the other day.

Then we popped by a pet shop that's just next to harvey norman.

They're closed for the day but we can still see those puppies through the glass windows.

I saw this lovely lovely sharpei puppy...

I didn't get to take a picture because i didn't bring the camera out that day.

It's so adorable!!!!

Wrinkly face, wrinkly nose, wrinkly everywhere...

Aww....

Just feel like breaking in and dognap it home...

Present...

I've read this many times,
but it still touches my heart everytime i read it...

Sometimes,
people just forget the purpose of life,
people forget to appreciate life,
to be contented with what he/she have,
and live life to the fullest...

Hospital Window

Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room.
One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs.
His bed was next to the room's only window.
The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back.
The men talked for hours on end.
They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation.

Every afternoon when the man in the bed by the window could sit up,
he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window.

The man in the other bed began to live for those one hour periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and color of the world outside.

The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake.
Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats.
Young lovers walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every color and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen in the distance.

As the man by the window described all this in exquisite detail,
the man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine the picturesque scene.
One warm afternoon the man by the window described a parade passing by.
Although the other man couldn't hear the band - he could see it.
In his mind's eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive words.
Days and weeks passed.

One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths only to find the lifeless body of the man by the window, who had died peacefully in his sleep.
She was saddened and called the hospital attendants to take the body away.
As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he could be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch, and after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone.

Slowly, painfully,
he propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look at the real world outside.
He strained to slowly turn to look out the window beside the bed.
It faced a blank wall.
The man asked the nurse what could have compelled his deceased roommate who had described such wonderful things outside this window.
The nurse responded that the man was blind and could not even see the wall.
She said, "Perhaps he just wanted to encourage you."

Epilogue:

There is tremendous happiness in making others happy,
despite our own situations.
Shared grief is half the sorrow, but happiness when shared, is doubled.
If you want to feel rich, just count all the things you have that money can't buy.

"Today is a gift, that's why it is called the present."
