What the...
I company Jason to class today.
For the past 1 1/2 years of going to lectures here,
there's one thing which i don't understand.
Why do some people leaves the lecture hall just 10-15minutes after the lecture starts???
Why do they even bother to attend class?
I mean,
if you leave the lecture during the half time break,
I can understand.
Sometimes the lecturer can bore you to tears,
or some lecturers may lecture just by reading off the powerpoint slides,
which makes attending lecture a waste of time.
But leaving the lecture in the first 15minutes if ridiculous.
Some other students actually came in the final 15minutes of the lecture.
The record time of a student late for a lecture (one of my lectures in the 2nd sem) was 1minute before the lecture ends...
The lecturer asked him,
"So...are you too late for this class or too early for the next class?"
And he replied cheekily,
"Late..."
WHAT THE ....?!?!
*roll eyes*
I just don't understand...seriously...
Anyway,
after Jason's lecture today,
we meet up with Augustine and went to one of the coffee place in school.
They have this really interesting gimmick to lure customers.
Everyday,
between 2-3pm,
it's 'toss a coin' time (not sure if i remember the name right).
It's really simple but really innovative.
Customers who come during 2-3pm will guess heads or tails and the barrista will toss a coin.
If you guess it right,
you'll get your drink FREE!!!!
Both me and Jason guessed it right,
so we got our hot chocolate with marshmallow free.
YAY!!!

I have a monotonous life...
It's been a while since I've blog.
There don't seem much in my life to blog anyway.
Its just school, study, eat, projects, assignments, tv, research, cook, clean, sleep....
Monotonous life I've got here.
I'll be going to school with Jason to do my research while he attend class later.
Oh,
I've just finished reading a book:
The Mango Season by Amulya Malladi.
It's a relatively thin book but a pleasure to read.
I quite like it.
It's mainly about the conservative traditional Indian parents who want their children to go through arranged marriage and how their daughter struggled to find a life of their own.
It's kind of barbaric to force your daughter into marrige with a man she knows only for a few minutes.
Freaks me out.
No offence to all Indians out there,
but i'm glad i'm not one.
Next up:
My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult.
This is a must read book with a controversial subject.
Just by reading at the book description,
it makes me wonder if its fair or even ethical to give birth to a daughter just to save another??
Makes me ponder if I'll do the same thing...
Hope i have the time to read that book.

New neighbours
omg...
we've got new neighbours!!!!
They're from Taiwan i think.
Haven't seen them face to face yet but heard them talking and moving in.
Hope they are nice people,
and don't talk as much and as loud as the previous ones.
hehehe

school reopens...again
Haiz...
school reopens today.
I only have three days of class each week.
But i cringe after going through my workload this semester.
Assignments, projects, assignments, presentations and more assignmentssss...
Assignments, projects and presentations are so time and energy consuming!!!
An even distribution between assignments and exams would be most desirable but...
I only have TWO exams throughout the whole semester and heaps and mountains of assignments and projects!!!
I am so going to be burned-out after this semester.
Ignore me...
I just need to complain and whinge.

hurts...
My wisdom tooth...
its starting to hurt

Only a quater of the tooth is out,
I wonder if it's pushing against my other teeth.
I don't want to go to the dentist here.
It's way too expensive.
Alot more expensive than in Singapore.
I hope the pain will not turn from bad to worse...

yum...
Italy won!!!
I wasn't exactly a soccer fan.
But i did watch a few matches with Jason this world cup.
Of course i did watch the most important match,
and saw Zidane's famous headbutt.
Marco must have said something really really nasty to provoke Zidane.

School reopens next week

Sianzzz...
And i've class in another campus next semester.
The free campus shuttle bus that goes to that campus only comes once very hour.
What's worse is...the lecture starts 9AM!!!
I'll have to get up really really early to catch the shutter and reach early for class,
otherwise i'll be late if i miss that particular bus.
Anyway,
i've got my results!!!
Did better than i've expected.
