fond memories

This particular email made me smile from ear to ear,
and go yes yeS yES YES!!!
So i really really have to share this with you guys.
You probably would have read this before or received my email on this.
It's a long long list but definately worth the read.

Fond memories For those who born in the 70s and 80s.

1. You grew up watching He-man, MASK, Transformers, Silver Hawk and Mickey Mouse. Not to forget, Ninja turtles, My Little Pony and Smurfs too. (yepyep)

2. You grew up brushing your teeth with a mug in Primary school during recess time. You will squat by a drain with all your classmates beside you, and brush your teeth with a coloured mug.The teachers said you must brush each side 10 times too. (*giggles*yeah!)

3. You know what SBC stands for. (OF COZ!!)

4. You pay 40 cents for Chocolate or Strawberry MILK every week in class. (i love those milk)

5. You watch a very popular Malay dubbed Japanese drama on RTM1 about schoolgirls who possess powerful skills in volleyball called Meoro Attack. (errr...not too sure about this)

6. You find your friends with pagers and handphone cool in Secondary school. (uhuh...)

7. SBS buses used to be non-airconditioned. The bus seats are made of wood and the cushion is red. The big red bell gives a loud BEEP! when pressed. There are colourful tickets forTIBS buses. The conductor will check for tickets by using a machine which punches a hole in the ticket. (yep)

8. Envelopes given to us to donate to Sharity Elephant every Children's Day. (YES!!!)

10. You were there when they first introduced MRT here. You went for the first ride with your parents and you would kneel on the seat to see the scenery. (my little bro did that, not me..lol)

11. Movie tickets used to cost only $3.50. *damn it* (&%^$&@)

12. Gals are fascinated by Strawberry Short Cake and Barbie Dolls. (definately not me)

13. You learn to laugh like The Count in Sesame Street. (love sesame street)

14. You longed to buy tibits called Kaka (20 cents per pack), and Ding Dang (50 cents per box), that had a toy in it and it changes every week not forgetting the 15 cents animal crackers and the ring pop, where the lollipop is the diamond on the ring. (muahaha ya man)

15. You watched TV2 (also known as Channel 10) cartoons because Channel 5 never had enough cartoons for you. (errr...don't rem le)

16. Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew, The Three Investigators, Famous Five and Secret Seven are probably the thickest story books you ever thought you have read. Even Sweet Valley High and Malory Towers. (i read Sweet Valley High!!!)

17. KFC used to be a high class restaurant that serve food in plates and let you use metal forks and knives. (KFC used plates and metal utensils??? really???)

18. The most vulgar thing you said was asshole and idiot and THE MOST EXTREME WAS 'super white'...you just couldn't bring yourself to say the hokkien relative. (nahhh...i brought myself to say anything and everything...LOL...but that was the past la)

24. Boys loved to play soccer with small plastic balls in the basketball court. (errr...really?)

25. Teng-teng, five stones, chapteh, hentam bola and zero point were all the rage with the girls and boys too... (only five stones for me)

26. Science was fun with the balsam and the angsana being the most important plants of our lives, guppies and swordtail being the most important fish. (yeah...to the point where i can recognise an angsana tree with just a glance)

27. Who can forget Ahmad, Bala, Sumei and John, eternalized in our minds from the textbooks. Even Mr Wally & Mr. Yakki. What abt Miss Lala??? And Zaki and Tini in Malay Textbooks (YESYESYES!!!!!)

28. We carry out experiments of our own to get yourself badges for being a Young Zoologist/Botanist etc. (kekeke i even got a cert for that)

29. Every Children's day and National day you either get pins or pens with 'Happy Children's Day 1993' or dumb files with 'Happy National Day 1994'. (yupyup...how dodgy can those 'gifts' get)

38. You see Wee Kim Wee's face in the school hall. (no...i see Hail Mary's portrait...i'm from a catholic school la)

39. You freak out when the teacher tells you to line up according to height and hold hands with the corresponding boy or girl (what's so freaky about that?)

40. Boys like to catch fighting spiders. (so do i!!!)

41. Collecting and battling erasers was a pastime for boys. (i did that toooooooooooo!!!)

42. Autograph books were loaded with "Best Wishes", "Forget Me Not", and small poems like "Bird fly high, hard to catch.Friend like you, hard to forget". (muahaha come to think of it now, it's so bo liao LOL)

43. Class monitors and prefects loved to say "You talk somemore, I write your name ah!" (i don't rem me saying that)

For those who are born in those days... remember the good old days?
For those who arent.... know what u missed out..?
Does/can the present be exchangable for the past?
U decide.

c.a.n.'.t c.o.n.c.e.n.t.r.a.t.e

How to concentrate when there are a couple of horny cats,
screaming (at the top of their lungs) with pleasure during their steamy session of youknowwhat,
right below your apartment????
...sigh...

..........................................

Some 45minutes later,
another pair of horny cats at work from afar.
It must be the mating season now...

MaoMao...my new pet

I adopted a new pet today!!!!
I was washing some bok choy and found...

I named it MaoMao!!!

muahahahaha

Jason say i'm deprived kekekeke

I still remember back in those primary school days,

instead of playing with barbie dolls and braiding hairs,

i'll be catching spiders in school.

okok i do still play stuffs like 'five stones' and 'hopscotch'.

When my dad brought us out to places with big grassland (such as Macritchie Reservoir),

i'll be there, trying to catch grasshoppers.

(Without hurting them of coz...i'm not a sicko...)

When i'm home and finished my homework,

i'll not be sitting at one corner,

talking to some stuff toys or playing 'Let's have tea' games.

I'll be sitting in front of our mini garden and start digging for some creepy crawlies and watch them move about.

Then in seconday school days,

i love to head out to the long gan (drain/canal) near my house,

together with some friends,

climb down and catch guppies with our bare hands.

And now,

a caterpillar.

Well...i outgrew most of those 'past-time activities'.

*phew*

how unhygienic and dirty can those long gan get...ewwww

p/s: maomao shits quite a bit for it's size.

So in conclusion,

eat more greens and you won't constipate.

LOL

3 more days to exams...

3 more days to exams.
It's so tiring...hatehatehate exams.

Trying to get some shuteye before heading out to school to mug.

Feeling more refreshed... ^_^

Why do i always look like i put on 10kg of weight in photos?

And why do my face looked like a hamburger?

People used to say i look like tweety bird.

-_-"

I'n still not sure if it's a complement or insinuation.

something to perk myself up...

but i'm quite immune to caffeine...maybe i need a few shots of espresso.

Got bored from studying...

so tried taking a photo of my reflection on Jason's laptop.

p/s: sigh...once again...i'm holding a pimple party on my face...'thanks' to exam stress and lack of sleep...

@ Carseldine

I'm at Carseldine campus studying.
With Jason and friends.
And collected one of my assignments back.
Damn...
my results S.U.C.K.
I wasn't expecting much from this subject anyway.
I'm very happy with just a GPA of '4' (which is 'pass') really and that's what i got
LOL
Couldn't bother much with this nonsensical subject.
i hateithateithateithateithateithateithateit...
The fact that the class is at Carseldine,
plus 9am lecture,
plus attending those lectures and tutorial proved to be useless,
plus i only started to understand what is going on after hours and hours of reading,
plus i don't believe in those research methods taught,
makes me hate it even more.
Whatever.....
a pass is all i'm asking for...
blahhh

update on last thursday

sorry for the lack of updates.
was busy with the usual stuffs...well...still am...as the exams are near and 4 more assignments to go.
anyway,
thought i'll update on last thursday.
It's our big day.

One of my units this semester requires me (and my team) to design a health promotion project.
And we decided on 'Stress Among University Students'.
Our main aim is to increase the awareness, knowledge blahblahblah....
Better not bore you guys with those details lol.

After lots of preparation, hardwork...and money (we all have to chip in some money as we can't find much sponsors...those tightass bastards gggrrrrrr),
here's the results.

well...considering our limited resources and time,

i think it's a job well done.

Everyone's busy preparing...

The crowd...

It turned out better than we expected.

We didn't prepare enough gift bags :p

me and my team.

why the hell did i bend my knees?

I thought there's a poster behind me and i don't want to block it.

Well,

not only is there nothing behind me,

i made myself look shorter than i already am...

LOL

After that day,

i have ugly tan lines on my hands.

damn...should have worn a tube on that day.

here's some random pics of QUT

In the lift...

Well...

that's all folks.

Now back to the books...

Reply

Reply from Smudge's owner,
"Thanks so much for stopping.
Unfortunately he died within half an hour but thankfully he was with his mum and dad and not alone on the road.
Thanks again."

Sigh...
A minute of silence for Smudge.

Friday the 13th...its a solemn day...

I was about to type this entry when i realised that it's Friday the 13th.
I just reached home not too long ago.
Yesterday was a long eventful day and i was tired.
I'll update later on what i did on Thursday.

Anyway,
we meet up with some friends for dinner,
then we head over to Augustine's place for a while.
We parked our cars and suddenly, out of nowhere,
this girl (neighbour) came out of her balcony,
(She's obviously angry and talking on the phone,
screaming f*** here, f*** there.)
and screamed at us,
"@£$^%$&...(can't exactly hear what's she's saying)...U NOSY PRICKS!!!"
All of us were shocked.
Unsure of what we've done to deserve her random 'barking'.
Augustine said those scoldings must be directed at his landlord.
His landlord complained about her the other day.
Will not go into details on why she got complained.
SSsooo..We got scolded by a bitch for no reason.

The following thing that happened really saddens me and Jason.
I'm still thinking about it...
We left Augustine's place around 3.30am.
At that time,
I was half sleeping, half awake, about to doze off in the car when Jason swerved.
"OMG, I think there's a dead cat in the middle of the road!"
That woke me up instantly.
We turned back to take a look again,
and yes...it's a cat.
We thought it was dead until it turned its head and looked at us.
"OMGOMGOMG IT'S STILL ALIVE!!"
Both of us rushed out of the car to the cat.
It's a beautiful cat.
I never expect myself to ever witness such a sight.
The poor poor cat was being run over by another car.
Only god knows how long has the poor cat's been lying there.
Intestines and guts spilled slightly,
bare flesh of a leg and arm exposed.
Blood everywhere.
The cat was mewing softly at us,
calling out in pain,
calling out for help.
We managed to stop a truck and redirect it around the cat,
while frantically called Augustine to search for a number of the nearest 24hrs vet on the internet.
Found one and called them,
but the operator said there's no pet ambulance and we'll have to bring the cat to the vet ourselves and said the nearest 24hr vet was xxx(i forgot where but it is very far away).
At the mean time,
I was looking at his collar, hoping to find a number and bingo,
saw 2 numbers and a name - 'Smudge'.
Called first number,
no answer.
Called second number and prayed for someone to pick up,
and a guy answered after a few rings.
We broke the news to him but he was surprisingly calm,
as if he's not worried or sad.
We told him of our whereabouts and luckily he live nearby.
All we can do at that time was to try and be with the cat,
patting and stroking it gently and stop any oncoming cars.
The guys reached in a couple of minutes.
I was expecting him to be really sad and bring Smudge to the vet immediately.
But no.
He wasn't exactly sad and seemed to be thinking of what to do.
He move Smudge over to the grass only after seeing some oncoming cars.
Then again,
he was thinking and thinking
while me and Jason were really anxious about the cat.
Jason asked (in hope to get him to hurry up),
"What so you intend to do?"
The guy said,
"Think i'll have to put it down, but it's gonna cost $400 to do so now but i can't bring it home else my gf will be devastated."
(We were furious. So Smudge's not ur pet but it's your gf's pet! It may have a chance of survival. Even not, at least bring it to the vet asap to put it down so as to stop it from suffering!!! And so does that mean you will hide it somewhere first so that your gf will not see Smudge then bring it to the vet tomorrow??? While it die a slow and painful death?????????)
Jason said,
"Maybe you should bring it to a vet now."
Then he mumbled something.
(damn you MotherF***er @$"£%£^)
He said,
"He's been knocked down twice before but they're just broken bones and this time's the worse."
And he told us Smudge's only a year old!!!!!!
Then he asked,
"Do you have a PLASTIC BAG for me to put it in?"
WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!
A PLASTIC BAG???!!!!???!!!!
IS THAT WHAT YOU DO TO YOUR PET??!!!??!?!?!?!
A PLASTIC BAG?!?!?!?!!?
(At this time, i feel like killing him...seriously)
Jason went to his car to get a old bed sheet (it was quite dirty but that's the only thing we have).
When the guy saw our bed sheet,
he went to his car a took out a towel
(you sonofabitch!!! You had a towel in your car and you asked us for a bloody PLASTIC BAG!!)
But sadly,
we can't do anything.
We would be more than willing to bring Smudge to the vet and then again,
we can't decide for the owner.
Jason and I were really really upset at him and felt really sad for Smudge.

Guys,
if you have a pet,
may it be a cat or a dog or a ferret etc,
please please don't let it roam around freely.
People here in Australia tend to allow their pets to roam around whenever and wherever they like.
It's too dangerous for the animals.
Please Please Please be responsible owners.
It's a life.
It's got feelings like you and me.
You won't let your child roam around in the streets or on the roads would you?
So please...spare a thought for your pet/s.

And last but not least,
I CURSE THE HIT AND RUN DRIVER.
I CURSE HIM CURSE HIM CURSE HIM TO...WHATEVER...
I WANT HIM/HER TO KNOW HOW IT FEELS LIKE TO BE HIT AND LEFT TO DIE WITH ALL HIS/HER INTESTINES AND GUTS SPILLED OUT
CURSECURSECURSE
ARRGGGHHHHH

P/s: Jason's surfing the net and stored numbers of 24hrs vet hospitals and RSPCA just in case. But i really hope this will not happen again.
But if it does,
we're prepared.

Mooncake festival

Didn't realise that today is the yearly mooncake/lantern festival.
No wonder the moon is so huge and round and bright.
My friend send me this.

heehee

Thanks Sarah.

*hugz*

It feels good to know that a friend,

whom you last seen 2 years ago,

still remembers you...

:)

Did not buy mooncake this year.

They are way too expensive (plus not that nice and limited variety) here.

Happy mooncake/lantern festival everyone!!!!!

him...

I can never forget how i met you,
how you bought me a pair of koala bears that says 'I Love You' when they kiss,
how you left SH without telling me and make me think you treated me as a colleague rather than a friend,
how we lost contact for months,
how you contacted me once i broke off with my ex-bf,
how we went out together for the first time to get Rachel's brithday present,
how you tell me you liked me since SH days,
how you kept those forwarded sms i sent you many months ago,
how you courted me,
how you, on many occasions, tried to hold my hand *giggles* and
how we finally got together.

You make me smile,
you make me laugh,
you surprised me with actions that no others have ever done.
Your silly smile,
your contagious laugh,
cast my troubles away for a while.

Of course,
we have our ups and downs,
like everyone else.
But despite our differences,
we managed to work out our problems together.
You taught me many things,
things that i will remember always.

And no,
this is not a poem,
although it turns out to sound like a really bad one.
This post is dedicated for him,
my one and only.
Happy 3rd Anniversary.
Thank you for everything.
Everything you have taught and done for me.
I love you
muacks

Top 15 of 'i hate...'

Have you ever know someone whom you come to detest more and more as the days go by?
There are a few types of people whom i totally detest.
There're a few people whom i'm thinking of when i wrote this.
Here's the top 15 from my list.
I so detest people who:
  1. are proud and arrogant,
  2. are selfish to friends but super generous in front of their opposite sex (or selfish to their bf/gf but super generous to themselves and other friends),
  3. cheat on their partner/spouse,
  4. abuse animals,
  5. bully the weak/disabled,
  6. take others of granted (eg: treating you really nice, like best buddies, sucking up to you, following you around acting like a dog, when they need you and your help but when they don't, your're just an acquaintance at best),
  7. keep borrowing things from others and not returning them after that/uses things at the expense of others,
  8. assume they are smart (but in actual fact they are naive and complete idiots),
  9. are scheming (eg: knowing that doing one thing might harm another yet doing it secretly, on purpose),
  10. think they are the owner of the house when they are at your home (eg: sitting/lying on your bed, opening the fridge, eating stuff without asking)
  11. are irresponsible (eg: not doing their work which may jeopadize others' results/not taking care of other people's things),
  12. take your hard work and change it into their own (by changing words here and there),
  13. spread untrue rumours about others,
  14. only look for rich gfs/bfs (hate people who keep spending their partner's money),
  15. are fake and pretentious.

....yeah...i'm burning with anger and clouded with rage by the thought of those people (specifically one person now) that i can't concentrate on my assignments.

ROARRRR!!!!
