Friday the 13th...its a solemn day...

I was about to type this entry when i realised that it's Friday the 13th.
I just reached home not too long ago.
Yesterday was a long eventful day and i was tired.
I'll update later on what i did on Thursday.

Anyway,
we meet up with some friends for dinner,
then we head over to Augustine's place for a while.
We parked our cars and suddenly, out of nowhere,
this girl (neighbour) came out of her balcony,
(She's obviously angry and talking on the phone,
screaming f*** here, f*** there.)
and screamed at us,
"@£$^%$&...(can't exactly hear what's she's saying)...U NOSY PRICKS!!!"
All of us were shocked.
Unsure of what we've done to deserve her random 'barking'.
Augustine said those scoldings must be directed at his landlord.
His landlord complained about her the other day.
Will not go into details on why she got complained.
SSsooo..We got scolded by a bitch for no reason.

The following thing that happened really saddens me and Jason.
I'm still thinking about it...
We left Augustine's place around 3.30am.
At that time,
I was half sleeping, half awake, about to doze off in the car when Jason swerved.
"OMG, I think there's a dead cat in the middle of the road!"
That woke me up instantly.
We turned back to take a look again,
and yes...it's a cat.
We thought it was dead until it turned its head and looked at us.
"OMGOMGOMG IT'S STILL ALIVE!!"
Both of us rushed out of the car to the cat.
It's a beautiful cat.
I never expect myself to ever witness such a sight.
The poor poor cat was being run over by another car.
Only god knows how long has the poor cat's been lying there.
Intestines and guts spilled slightly,
bare flesh of a leg and arm exposed.
Blood everywhere.
The cat was mewing softly at us,
calling out in pain,
calling out for help.
We managed to stop a truck and redirect it around the cat,
while frantically called Augustine to search for a number of the nearest 24hrs vet on the internet.
Found one and called them,
but the operator said there's no pet ambulance and we'll have to bring the cat to the vet ourselves and said the nearest 24hr vet was xxx(i forgot where but it is very far away).
At the mean time,
I was looking at his collar, hoping to find a number and bingo,
saw 2 numbers and a name - 'Smudge'.
Called first number,
no answer.
Called second number and prayed for someone to pick up,
and a guy answered after a few rings.
We broke the news to him but he was surprisingly calm,
as if he's not worried or sad.
We told him of our whereabouts and luckily he live nearby.
All we can do at that time was to try and be with the cat,
patting and stroking it gently and stop any oncoming cars.
The guys reached in a couple of minutes.
I was expecting him to be really sad and bring Smudge to the vet immediately.
But no.
He wasn't exactly sad and seemed to be thinking of what to do.
He move Smudge over to the grass only after seeing some oncoming cars.
Then again,
he was thinking and thinking
while me and Jason were really anxious about the cat.
Jason asked (in hope to get him to hurry up),
"What so you intend to do?"
The guy said,
"Think i'll have to put it down, but it's gonna cost $400 to do so now but i can't bring it home else my gf will be devastated."
(We were furious. So Smudge's not ur pet but it's your gf's pet! It may have a chance of survival. Even not, at least bring it to the vet asap to put it down so as to stop it from suffering!!! And so does that mean you will hide it somewhere first so that your gf will not see Smudge then bring it to the vet tomorrow??? While it die a slow and painful death?????????)
Jason said,
"Maybe you should bring it to a vet now."
Then he mumbled something.
(damn you MotherF***er @$"£%£^)
He said,
"He's been knocked down twice before but they're just broken bones and this time's the worse."
And he told us Smudge's only a year old!!!!!!
Then he asked,
"Do you have a PLASTIC BAG for me to put it in?"
WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!
A PLASTIC BAG???!!!!???!!!!
IS THAT WHAT YOU DO TO YOUR PET??!!!??!?!?!?!
A PLASTIC BAG?!?!?!?!!?
(At this time, i feel like killing him...seriously)
Jason went to his car to get a old bed sheet (it was quite dirty but that's the only thing we have).
When the guy saw our bed sheet,
he went to his car a took out a towel
(you sonofabitch!!! You had a towel in your car and you asked us for a bloody PLASTIC BAG!!)
But sadly,
we can't do anything.
We would be more than willing to bring Smudge to the vet and then again,
we can't decide for the owner.
Jason and I were really really upset at him and felt really sad for Smudge.

Guys,
if you have a pet,
may it be a cat or a dog or a ferret etc,
please please don't let it roam around freely.
People here in Australia tend to allow their pets to roam around whenever and wherever they like.
It's too dangerous for the animals.
Please Please Please be responsible owners.
It's a life.
It's got feelings like you and me.
You won't let your child roam around in the streets or on the roads would you?
So please...spare a thought for your pet/s.

And last but not least,
I CURSE THE HIT AND RUN DRIVER.
I CURSE HIM CURSE HIM CURSE HIM TO...WHATEVER...
I WANT HIM/HER TO KNOW HOW IT FEELS LIKE TO BE HIT AND LEFT TO DIE WITH ALL HIS/HER INTESTINES AND GUTS SPILLED OUT
CURSECURSECURSE
ARRGGGHHHHH

P/s: Jason's surfing the net and stored numbers of 24hrs vet hospitals and RSPCA just in case. But i really hope this will not happen again.
But if it does,
we're prepared.
